Ingredients

  • 7 oz canned chickpeas (200 g), drained weight
  • 2 large handfuls fresh cilantro chopped roughly
  • garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil or tahini sesame paste
  • good-quality olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • ground cumin
  • pepper
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Insert the MultiBlade into the bowl. Add the canned chickpeas and close the lid.

  3. Press Pulse for 10 seconds. Open the lid and scrape down the sides of the bowl. Season with a pinch of pepper, salt, garlic powder and ground cumin. Add the lemon juice and zest, the sesame or (or sesame paste), 5 tablespoons of olive oil, 3 tablespoons of water and the roughly chopped fresh cilantro.

  5. Close the lid again and select PUREE P1. Press Start to activate the program. Once done, press cancel to exit keep warm mode. Scrape down the sides of the bowl again. Close the lid and press Pulse for 30 seconds.
