Insert the MultiBlade into the bowl. Add the canned chickpeas and close the lid.

Press Pulse for 10 seconds. Open the lid and scrape down the sides of the bowl. Season with a pinch of pepper, salt, garlic powder and ground cumin. Add the lemon juice and zest, the sesame or (or sesame paste), 5 tablespoons of olive oil, 3 tablespoons of water and the roughly chopped fresh cilantro.

Close the lid again and select PUREE P1. Press Start to activate the program. Once done, press cancel to exit keep warm mode. Scrape down the sides of the bowl again. Close the lid and press Pulse for 30 seconds.

Then add extra olive oil or water, pulse again until you get the consistency you like. Check the seasoning of the hummus and add extra pepper, salt, sesame oil (or paste), garlic powder, lemon juice or ground cumin to taste if necessary. Then scoop the hummus in a clean bowl, sprinkle with extra olive oil and serve.
