Crunchy rich bacon mashed potatoes... Why haven’t I thought of this before then?
Grill the bacon for some minutes until crisp. Keep an eye on it! Then let the grilled bacon cool at room temperature. Once the potatoes are cooked and tender, drain them. Immediately add them back to the pan and add the butter. Mash the potatoes and garlic up well.
Then also pour in the whole milk. Season the mash with a dash of pepper and salt.
Mash the potatoes again. Then chop the cooled bacon up roughly and add it to the potato mash.
Stir the mash well again. Check the seasoning and add extra pepper or salt to taste if necessary. Scoop the bacon mash into bowls and serve hot.
